We can all thank David J. Cork’s mom for his hit romantic dramedy, Bi: The Webseries. For it was a venting session about the actor’s love life that sparked the sensation thousands of viewers now tune in for every month. “I was in a situation where I was dating a man and a woman at the same time,” Cork explains. “It kind of blew up in my face. I was expressing my frustrations to my mom one day and she goes, ‘Baby, your life is a TV show.'”

It would be remiss if we didn’t state the lighter antics of the first season of David J. Cork’s webseries, “Bi.” The show was unique in its ventures into the mind and relationships of a Black bisexual man, Alex (Cork), in New York City. While heavily sexual, its humor and attitude reflected a fresh and accessible tone, something that is flipped on its heels with the second season premiere.
